Seafood @ Restoran Lung Seng, Tanjung Tualang

My friend introduced this place to us for dinner on one of my weekend trip to Kampar few weeks back. Tanjung Tualang is a place about 30 minutes from Kampar. My friend said it is before Ipoh. We went there after a day trip up to Cameron Highlands.

There are a few tanks outside the restaurant with prawns inside. My friend said they are famous for their steamed prawns. Full of freshness and sweetness.

Yes, fresh, but not cheap though. Overall the food is good. Yummy. We wanted to order lala/clams but they don't have clams, the boss said that because clams are not guaranteed fresh so they don't serve them.

We ordered:
Deep fried calamari (RM12) - erm, so so, the best i had was in Pulau Ketam Kim Hoe!
Fresh steamed prawns (M-L size, RM80!) Erm, super sweet and fresh but not that cheap afterall. You can choose (S-M sizes of prawns or M-L sizes of prawns)
Sweet Sour crab (RM38.50) - Not very meaty crabs :(
5 nos of bun (RM3.50)
Claypot fish (RM32) - I think it was "Sek Ban" fish. Goes well with rice.
Stir Fried Yau Mak (RM5)

The bill came up to RM181.30 for 5 person. Erm, average pricing. Wouldn't categorize it as cheap.

Phood @ Lot 10 Hutong Food Court 十号胡同

Although it has been opened quite long ago, but it was my first time there one month ago. My friend told me that you can find a lot of non-halal dishes here. True, hokkien mee, pork burger, pork ribs noodles, pork knuckle etc.

Many popular shops have their branches here in this Lot 10 food court such as the Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Noodles, Ho Weng Kee wantan mee, Colliseum Cafe, Soong Kee Beef Noodles and so on.

It is a nice place, unfortunately I find it very confusing and nausea-causing to walk around due to all the mirrors and pillars.

The pork burger and the curry noodle with pork ribs are good! Worth the try. As for the others, nothing much to shout about.

Brunch + Nice Coffee @ Red Bean Bag, Solaris Dutamas

Cafes and coffee places are blooming away in Klang Valley, and Red Bean Bag (RBB) is one of them that serves nice coffee and nice latte art!

My colleagues and I stopped by one afternoon to have our lunch. Back when they don't serve dinner yet. Now they do.

Food wise, nothing great to shout about, my fave is their French Toast, bestseller it seems. I had their breakfast platter, but I didn't like my scrambled eggs not seasoned. But then only I know that chefs usually don't season scrambled eggs because different guests have different likings so guests season their own scrambled eggs to their own preference.

I love their coffee. And latte art.

Yet to try their pasta/risotto.

Do grab a meal or coffee if you happen to be at Solaris Dutamas :)

Lum Mee & Yong Tau Foo @ Restoran Cozy Corner Taman Yulek, Cheras

All the while, my family and I only go to this shop for lum mee in the afternoon.

I don't know originally how does lum mee should taste like or the texture is, so I wouldn't say if this is the best or delicious or not.

We usually enjoy it on Sundays, I only know that it's available during daytime. Not sure about night time.

Direction:
It is located in Taman Yulek. Or maybe it's called Taman Cheras I'm not very sure.

At Taman Yulek/Taman Cheras, you will pass by 'Mexim Dim Sum' and Public Bank on your left. At the traffic light, go straight, you will see BHP petrol station on your left and CIMB Bank on your right, just go straight until the end of the road and you will see this shop at the right corner.
